A 23-year-old man died Wednesday night in Woodbridge when he was driving at a high speed alongside another car that made an “aggressive maneuver” and hit him — causing his car to veer off the road, become airborne and hit a tree, police said.
Prince William County police said at about 7 p.m. Wednesday, the victim, Juan Jose Bonilla Bonilla of Woodbridge, who was in a 2011 BMW 535, and an 18-year-old man, also from Woodbridge, in a 2014 Nissan 370 Z, were driving at a high speed, southbound on Minnieville Road near Hedgewood Drive. The Nissan driver then “attempted an aggressive maneuver to pass a pickup truck,” lost control and struck the driver side of the BMW, police said.
